October is the ideal month to visit Anglo-American countries, discover new worlds, taste typical foods and above all to admire breathtaking landscapes and create unforgettable memories. The cities are less crowded, the rates are more convenient and the climate is still pleasant.
We have already talked about Milan and Rome; now it is the moment to tell you about London and New York which at this time of year live their greatest splendor.
Discovering London Tradition
The best way to get to know London is an outing, by bike or on foot, to observe its amazing panoramas among the bright brown leaves of Greenwich Park or one of its countless parks among lakes, meadows and golden woods with reddish hues. In the evening we recommend a ride on the London Eye to admire the lights that make its historic buildings shine and The Thames sparkle at night and - why not - maybe even a dinner cruise on one of the many boats that cross it. If you are a thrill-seeker you should go the week before "All Saints" and take part in the Halloween-themed tours, where you will have the opportunity to walk the "darkest" streets, the museums and the most famous public houses that host the most "well-known" ghosts in history: everything expecially decorated for this occasion.
A Carnet full of New York Events
The Big Apple dresses up in orange, all the streets are transformed, not only for the foliage present in the many gardens, but also for the pumpkins placed everywhere in the City. In fact, for those who do not know, Halloween is a very heartfelt celebration for Americans, so from the first day you can feel it till the 31st with the great Greenwich Village masked parade. Other unmissable events are the “New York Film Festival”, with a red carpet of international actors; the “OktoberFest”, a typical Bavarian festival that takes place along the Manhattan Watermark; the “Columbus Day”, which involves over 30,000 participants and is entirely dedicated to Made in Italy, countless street festivals with tastings; the now well-known NYCC ? New York Comic Con for comic book enthusiasts and the lesser-known “Open House New York Weekend”, which allows you to set foot in over 200 structures in the five boroughs usually closed to the public.
