Armel Soyer at Salon Art + Design
New York, November 2022
WAVE11, the work by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman, created by PLANIUM, was the protagonist in the Armel Soyer space at the Salon Art + Design. Park Avenue Armory has in fact just hosted an exhibition of four intense days (November 10-14) on world design - vintage, modern, current - from the main galleries, highlighting trends.
The gallery owner Armel Soyer has devoted to the decorative arts of our century, trying to harmonize contemporary creation with traditional craftsmanship to enrich spaces through attention to ornaments, natural materials and for poetry in contemporary design.
WAVE11, the wave with 200 precious and recyclable oxidized brass and copper inserts, already presented at the Milan Design Week in Brera last June, was the highlight of the installation.
Time and Energy - says Maurizio Galante referring to WAVE11 - are the key players in this experimental project, a project that tends to narrate the transformation by fixing its instant... what the Japanese call 'MU', a moment so close to everything.
PLANIUM, which has always been attentive to materials, recyclability and sustainability, has chosen Grifal's cushionPaper to guarantee the perfect protection of WAVE11 during all the logistics phases, green packaging partner of PLANIUM.
This particular corrugated cardboard reduces, for the same volume, CO2 emissions and avoids the problems associated with disposal; even the amount of paper used to make the corrugated cardboard is limited up to 70%.
