PLANIUM presents Brass for covering and flooring finishes that give a less “distant” connotation to large spaces and environments. Together with Bronze, Brass is one of the two alloys obtained from Copper, being composed of this and Zinc. Its color is not always uniform, indeed: even if it generally has some characteristics of golden red, it actually has notes of green. With copper it shares a certain scenography apparently on warm tones; in reality however the two metals are rather differentiated from each other, as Brass for its green undertone can also veer towards colder shades, thus proving versatile for furnishing. This metal has maintained a certain constancy in interior design for more than a century, so much so that any of us, regardless of our age, has seen brass more than once) precious details or design furnishing accessories; for its resistance to wear, its longevity makes it suitable for various fields and uses (let us not forget that it is often used in the musical field, for which we speak precisely of instruments such as "brass instruments"!). Think of the strong bond that its golden tones have assumed on the wall together with Blue, recalling a combination much used by the Liberty and Art Nouveau in vogue in the old Europe of the Belle Epoque. Today the style that focuses on shapes and colors makes its elegance come back into fashion, very frequently especially in the catering field. A plausible combination, indeed recommended, in addition to that of the Blue of Calamine, is that with the Oxidized Steel: the golden tone meets the autumnal one of the brown steel, with an alternation between light and dark that we find in numerous public or social buildings.

Precisely because its color does not go unnoticed, it is not always essential to necessarily cover or floor large surfaces in brass: sometimes even choosing it with wall inserts in discontinuity with other materials - wood, for example - this metal knows how to stand out; even on the floor, it can be chosen both to completely cover a surface that wants to be revived, and as a texture that can break up other colors.

PLANIUM offers Brass in three different processes, which differentiate the aesthetic result. Through brushing, it maintains the classic character that distinguishes it in its minimal nature. The satin finish allows the metal to have a greater opacity and allows it to be defined in an intermediate processing stage between brushing and the canvas, also obtained through a satin finish that is however more marked. Like the eco-sustainable Copper, being derived from it, also Brass is a good conductor.
